In 2025, reiterating its dedication to enhancing maternal and newborn care as a key component of its national healthcare plan.

The Ministry emphasized that marking this event is an integral part of its continuous endeavors to build a resilient and equitable healthcare framework and improve the overall quality of life for various sectors of the population.

This year’s theme, “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures,” aims to underscore the significance of bolstering healthcare systems for women and children—especially during pregnancy, childbirth, and their early years.

Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Public Health Sector, highlighted that the Ministry of Health and Prevention is dedicated to following the most stringent global benchmarks in maternal and neonatal care through leveraging cutting-edge technologies consistent with recommendations provided by the World Health Organization.
