The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has expressed condolences to the former Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, following the passing of his sibling, Mr. Bernard Tyozenda Ortom.

On Tuesday, through a statement from his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, the FCT Minister expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Bernard Tyozenda Ortom, praying for peace for his departed soul.

He encouraged ex-Governor Ortom and the whole Ortom Adorogo clan from Guma Local Government Area in Benue State to stay resilient and find comfort in God, who bestows and withdraws life.

The Minister stated: “I was greatly shocked upon hearing about the passing of Mr. Bernard Tyozenda Ortom Nicholas, and I can only imagine the profound sense of loss that my colleague and dear friend, His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom, must be experiencing at this time.”

Nonetheless, despite the agony and shock brought about by the death, I encouraged finding comfort in God, who has deemed death unavoidable.

On behalf of my loved ones, peers, and colleagues, I extend my deepest sympathies to you during this difficult time. May God, in His boundless compassion, grant you and the entire Ortom Adorogo family the strength to endure this irreplaceable and heartrending loss.
