Samuel L. Jackson remembered some valuable guidance he got from Bruce Willis during the filming.

Jackson proceeded to star in a dozen Marvel films as Nick Fury, starting with “Iron Man” in 2008.

shared with the Los Angeles Times during a 2022 discussion
he showed no interest in being awarded for his efforts.

He stated, ‘I wasn’t ever going to allow the Oscars to define my achievements or shortcomings as an actor. For me, true success lies in being content.’

“Do I feel content with what I’m up to? I’m not aiming for roles in statuesque films,” he went on. “They say ‘Make this film, and you’ll get an Oscar.’ Not interested. Give me Nick Fury instead. Or better yet, playing Mace Windu wielding a lightsaber sounds like more fun.”

In the year 2000, Jackson once more collaborated with Willis.
