In 2024, Roborock, which leads globally in developing highly intelligent home robots designed to make everyday tasks easier, was crowned as the top brand for robotic vacuum cleaners (RVCs). This recognition comes from their leading position both in terms of global shipment volume and sales value, based on data provided by IDC through its latest report titled “Worldwide Smart Home Device Tracker” published at the end of Q4.

In the past year, Roborock held 16% of the global market share based on units sold and accounted for 22.3% of the total sales value. Compared to the previous year, this reflects an increase of 20.7% in the number of units shipped by Roborock.

It’s clear that Roborock holds a prominent place in both the U.S. and Chinese markets. Additionally, the company leads as the number one seller of robotic vacuum cleaners by volume and value in countries such as Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, South Korea, Switzerland, and Turkey.

IDC reports that Roborock focuses on expanding into well-established markets where there is strong demand for advanced smart home devices featuring cutting-edge technology. Additionally, the company places importance on maintaining robust online and offline sales channels to ensure satisfactory returns from their significant investments in research and development.

IDC also pointed out that Roborockโ€™s extensive range of products spans across low, mid-range, and premium markets. Their signature OmniGrip robotic arm stands as an emblem of the rapid advancement within the sector.

The IDC report was released shortly following Roborockโ€™s victory in multiple international media accolades at CES 2025. This recognition stemmed from their release of the groundbreaking Roborock Saros lineup, which includes models like the Roborock Saros 10R, the Roborock Saros 10, and the advanced Roborock Saros Z70โ€”the leading robotic vacuum cleaner for this year. The standout feature of these devices is the inclusion of OmniGrip, the world’s first commercially available foldable robotic arm with five degrees of freedom capable of reaching spaces once unreachable and handling tasks such as tidying up lightweight objects like socks, tiny towels, tissues, and flip-flops weighing less than 300 grams.

Roborock was acknowledged as the premier brand in Romania too, earning the title of ‘Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner Brand’ at the Connect Gala Awards. This accolade underscores Roborockโ€™s technical excellence and innovative capabilities, surpassing numerous prominent competitors within the sector. It signifies not only public confidence but also professional approval, validating the exceptional quality of their offerings in this category. Additionally, this honor bolsters Roborock’s standing as the foremost player in the Romanian marketplace.
