PDP Reschedules Anambra Governorship Primary: New Date Set for April 8

The PDP Anambra chairman verified this information in Awka when speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday.

The primary will select the party’s nominee for the gubernatorial election on November 8th.

Chidebe mentioned that the National Secretariat sanctioned the change to finalize all essential administrative procedures and guarantee a seamless operation.

He portrayed PDP as the most tranquil party in Anambra, poised to compete together and get ready.

Our main election will now take place on Tuesday, April 8.

“The disarray in other parties makes it evident that PDP isn’t the issue,” he stated.

He encouraged members to place the priorities of both the public and the party above their individual aspirations.

The major political parties in Anambra — APC, APGA, and Labour Party — will be conducting their primary elections this coming Saturday.

The NAN has stated that numerous candidates have pulled out of the competition in almost all parties, with the exception of APGA.

He remains APGA’s only candidate for the gubernatorial nomination.
