Pan-African Drives Fumigation at Kaneshie Market

The Pan-African Savings and Loans company, together with Zoomlion Ghana Limited, carried out an extensive pest control operation at the Kaneshie Market.

Pan-African’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program seeks to establish a more hygienic and improved atmosphere for vendors and consumers.

The activity started with a reduction in ratings on Saturday, August 9, and then proceeded with disinfecting the inside of the marketplace on Sunday, August 10. The last stage, involving the treatment of the market’s outside area and nearby zones, concluded on Wednesday, August 13.

As stated by Mrs. Linda Naykene, Director of Corporate Relations and Marketing at Pan-African, “The marketplace serves as the lifeblood of local trade, and its hygiene significantly affects the wellness of numerous vendors and shoppers.”

This effort represents how we contribute back and support businesses operating within a sustainable setting.

Market regulators have commended the initiative. Mr. Quarshie, Chief Executive Officer of the Accra Markets, stated, “This partnership has arrived at an ideal moment, with measures being implemented to prevent the spread of the monkeypox virus.”

Well-maintained markets lead to more satisfied vendors, better health for shoppers, and a more robust economy. We appreciate the dedication of Pan-African and Zoomlion. We encourage all merchants and buyers to back this effort and collaborate in keeping our marketplace tidy.”

Ms. Paula Sogbe, an environmental expert at Accra Markets, thanked Pan-African and Zoomlion, stating, “We value the contributions of Pan-African and Zoomlion in assisting us to keep our marketplace clean and sanitary. This project will significantly help lower the chances of illnesses and enhance the general health and welfare of vendors and shoppers.”

Zoomlion contributed specialized knowledge and labor during the event, guaranteeing comprehensive inspection of both the internal and external areas of the marketplace.

Pan-African has stated that this initiative will not be isolated, but rather an integral component of a larger effort focused on advancing cleanliness, ecological preservation, and local growth throughout the nation.
