  • Bryan Fletcher becomes the key figure in a battle for airtime among radio stations.

  • Ex-football player has established a solid standing in sports media.

The former Roosters player and media figure Bryan Fletcher is now at the center of a fierce competition between two major Australian radio stations, Triple M and SEN.

Fletcher, celebrated for his sharp humor and roguish appeal, has established a robust presence in sports media after retiring from playing in 2007.

At present a frequent contributor on SEN, offering insightful commentary on football talks, Fletch is attracting interest from Triple M. Thereโ€™s speculation he might take over from Marty Sheargold as reported.
News Corp.

Sheargold, 53, was
dramatically removed after remarks he made regarding the Matildas
in February.

Triple M encountered an advertiser boycott that jeopardized the radio station from losing a staggering sum of money following his ‘sexist and repulsive’ outburst.

After the Matildasโ€™ recent defeat against the USA, Marty shared with his audience that โ€˜something isnโ€™t right with the Matildasโ€™. He then likened the teamโ€™s mindset to that of โ€˜year tenth studentsโ€™.

He playfully inquired if famous footballer Sam Kerr and her fiancรฉe Kristie Mewis share the same role on their teams.

Fletcher has chosen not to comment on these reports, however, Craig Hutchison from SEN expresses his hope that the ex-footballer will remain with them.

‘Hutchison mentioned to The Daily Telegraph that Fletch is considered as part of the family at SEN.’

‘He has been here ever since we began in Sydney.’

‘We have high hopes that he will remain with us as he is an integral member of Joelโ€™s highly effective driving team.’

The drive-time show hosted by Fletcher along with Joel Caine is the most-watched program across the network.

Earlier this month, Triple M presenter Natarsha Belling shockingly announced that she would be departing from her morning radio show alongside co-hosts Beau Ryan and Aaron Woods, only six weeks after the program had started.

In a surprising announcement, the presenter expressed her best wishes to her coworkers and disclosed that she had been offered another position with the LiSTNER podcast, The Briefing.

‘Excited to share that Iโ€™ve received an incredible offer to be part of the @thebriefingpodcast team for their Afternoon segment,’ she shared on Instagram.

We are currently experiencing one of the most eventful periods in terms of news, covering everything from the cost of living to Donald Trump to Chinese naval vessels near our shores.

This new job perfectly matches my enthusiasm for journalism and the thrilling new realm of the podcast industry.

She added, “This also lets me keep up with my responsibilities for The National News at Noon on Channel 7, which I truly adore.”

Sadly, this implies saying goodbye to @triplembreakfast. I extend my best wishes to Beau, Woodsy, and Cat for what lies ahead and express my gratitude to our dedicated listeners for their ongoing support.
