NRB Reveals Former Governor Adhikari’s Financial Disclosure Documents

On April 9, Nepal announced that the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released information about the assets of ex-Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari. As per the revealed data, his wealth has grown by around Rs 5.948 million within the last half-decade.

Adhikari’s current total assets amount to approximately Rs 36.9 million, with his holding of USD standing at $28,608. His investments in gold, silver, and U.S. currency have expanded over time; however, his property holdings remain unchanged. Five years back, Adhikari possessed only $2,302, but this figure has surged to $28,608 today.

His possessions consist of Rs 988,000 in gold, silver, and cash, an amount that was appraised at Rs 503,000 half a decade earlier. Additionally, public records indicate that he holds investments totaling Rs 18.9 million in mutual funds and government securities.

The listed assets also include land worth Rs 10.8 million and a property valued at Rs 3.2 million.
