Michelle Obama
Her new podcast with her sibling Craig Robinson has fallen short of expectations since it debuted with significant hype in early March.

The upcoming media project named “IMO [In My Opinion]” featuring Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson revolves around the siblings as they share insights, tackle contemporary issues, and host an array of distinguished visitors.

The podcast isn’t doing well on the charts, with latest figures showing it ranked as the 34th most popular show.

.

The podcast has also fallen on the charts, with other shows like The Ezra Klein Show with the
New York Times
And “The Determined Society” featuring Shawn French ascending.

In the meantime, the podcast ranks at number 19 on Apple Podcasts, trailing behind shows such as The Mel Robbins Podcast and Good Hang.
Amy Poehler

Joe Rogan
Experience surpassing the brother-sister pair.

Great Episodes with Amy Poehler debuted on February 10, just a month prior to the IMO. It has quickly climbed to become the number two podcast on Apple Podcasts and holds the third spot on Spotify.

Poehler’s series has released two fewer episodes compared to Obama but continues to perform better on the charts.

The IMO debuted with two episodes on its launch day, the initial one being called “Start a Podcast With Your Brother/Sister.”

The second installment included executive producer and actress Issa Rae, and was called “Some Friendships Need to End.”

The brother-sister pair also hosted segments with Seth Rogen and his spouse Lauren, psychology professor Dr. Laurie Santos, Keke Palmer, and podcast host Jay Shetty.

The series IMO is created by Barack and Michelle Obamaโ€™s company, Higher Ground Productions. This production house also backed movies like “Leave the World Behind,” starring Julia Roberts, and “Rustin,” featuring Colman Domingo as the civil rights leader Bayard Rustin.

The production company was also responsible forMichelle’s earlier podcast, The Light Podcast, which concluded its run back in February.

Michelle Obamaโ€™s YouTube channel, where enthusiasts can listen to her current podcast, boasts 67,000 subscribers. This number seems modest next to Alex Cooperโ€™s โ€œCall Her Daddyโ€ podcast, which claims an impressive 1.2 million subscribers.

The Joe Rogan Experience
boasts an astounding 19.6 million subscribers and the Jay Shetty Podcast counts 3.91 million among its listeners.

The statistics come after IMO kicked off with a slow start, with the first episode only
amassing around 50,000 views after launch

The underwhelming figures arrive as Democrats brainstorm ways to locate a ‘Joe Rogan for the left’ following podcasts appearing to assist Donald Trump in connecting with younger voters during the presidential election.

A recent study from
Media Matters
showed that conservative podcasts and commentators lead the way in alternative media, leaving left-wing programs trailing behind.

Joe Rogan led as the top-right leaning personality with an audience of 39.9 million listeners.

Charlie Kirk, Ben Shapiro, and Jordan Peterson similarly boasted substantial followings, each exceeding 18 million subscribers.

At the same time, the leading liberal-oriented webcast was presented by Trevor Noah, reaching an audience of just 21.2 million.

The Young Turks and The Breakfast Club each boasted around 12 million followers, which seems modest when stacked against the audiences of conservative personalities.

Other notable Democrats such as California Governor Gavin Newsom have also joined the fray with a new podcast titled “This is Gavin Newsom.”

The podcast made its debut on February 26, shortly preceding the IMO, and currently holds the 47th spot on Spotify and the 57th position on Apple Podcasts.
