The rose lives once more!

The central theme of the collection revolves around the rose—a peerless symbol of femininity—being both fragile and assertive, nuanced and self-reliant, charming and perpetually changing.

“I view this collection as an open invite to our universe—a tribute to femininity and floral beauty. Every item embodies the essence of Slavic romanticism,” asserts designer and brand creator Magda Butrym in an H&M press statement.

The rose serves as a recurring symbol in Slavic mythology, capturing the essence of the romantic period along with elements of Polish folk traditions. With her newest collection, Butrym aims to draw in an unprecedented number of viewers into the realm of Slavic esotericism.

As expressed by Poland’s national poet

Adam Mickiewicz

“The rose is thriving! A spirit has infused it,” and this bloom serves as an enduring symbol of the resilience shown by women during the challenging times depicted in 19th-century Polish history, where they displayed fortitude and self-assurance.

The collection marks the 10th anniversary of the Magda Butrym brand, offering a chance to revisit some of its most recognizable designs.

It features archival designs from the fashion house ranging from flowy dresses reminiscent of flower petals to broad-shouldered jackets and generously proportioned structured coats.

Several standout items from this lineup feature a vibrant red dress adorned with ruffles that echo the look of a bunch of roses, an elegant lace ensemble, and a rich burgundy leather jacket. Every piece embodies the spirit of the range, blending elegance, assertiveness, and exceptional artistry.

Dresses featuring hues of pink and red adorned with an expressive floral motif catch the eye. These garments contour the figure for a contemporary yet adaptable appearance. Classic black ensembles distinguished by their prominent shoulder pads and rose-patterned inner linings highlight Magda’s architectural style in her designs.

We are delighted to welcome everyone into Magda’s dynamic and lyrical universe. This range brims with energy and happiness, showcasing the designer’s remarkable talent for depicting modern femininity distinctively,” remarks Ann-Sofie Johansson, who serves as the Creative Advisor at H&M.

The accessories from this collection feature flower-heeled sandals, distinctive floral-shaped earrings adorned with silver crystals, and silk scarves that reimagine Polish elegance in a modern, sophisticated manner.

The collection will debut on hm.com and at select stores starting Monday, April 24, 2025.
