Kevin and Kyra first encountered each other on the set of their 1988 film, “Lemon Sky.” In a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Bacon reminisced about those early days.

I’ll share with you that long before that time, I was involved in numerous Off-Broadway productions. At that point, I was 19, which would make her around 12, as far as I recall. Her mother had noticed my work in various Off-Broadway shows and realized that young Kyra, just 12 at the time, dreamed of becoming an actress,” Bacon recounted, according to People magazine.

“I was purchasing a sandwich at the deli nearby when a 12-year-old girl approached me and remarked, ‘Hello, I enjoyed your performance in the play.’ As he recalled, he responded with, ‘Thank you, dear,’ which he considered somewhat sexist,” Bacon commented.

He proceeded, “‘She shares an anecdote about our initial meeting during Lemon Sky; she mentioned, ‘We crossed paths at the village following that performance. You recall that, right?’ To which I responded, ‘Yes, I do remember.’ She then asked, ‘Really?’ So, I corrected myself saying, ‘Actually, No,’” according to the source.

“She didn’t fancy me. There wasn’t instant attraction,” he summarized, according to the source.

In 1988, Bacon and Sedgwick got married, and they have become parents to their son Travis, who is 35 years old, and their daughter Sosie, who is 33 years old, as reported by People. (ANI)
