I am delighted to share that the central authorities have approved Rs 140 crore for this initiative. I extend my gratitude to the Centre and particularly to the Union Minister.

The allocated funds will go toward building bridges in areas like Mandi, Kullu, Hamirpur, and Kangra. Singh confirmed that efforts would start immediately, with an upcoming inter-departmental meeting planned to oversee the smooth progress of these projects.

He stressed that initiatives concerning road rehabilitation, metalling, and new roadway development—including those financed through Central, NABARD, and CRF funds—will be prioritized for completion. Compared to prior years, the state’s capital spending in this area has seen an increase.

Vikramaditya Singh similarly spoke out regarding the recent event in Poonta Sahib, where allegations emerged concerning unauthorized animal slaughtering along with the finding of dead animals. He voiced his firm disapproval and guaranteed that investigative authorities are diligently looking into the matter.

The accounts from Poanta Sahib, which revealed evidence of slain creatures, are quite troubling. The authorities are currently investigating this matter under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police (SP) for Sirmaur.

I urge all individuals not to instrumentalize religious convictions for political purposes. While voicing concerns is legitimate, transforming it into a political show would be detrimental both to our country’s welfare and national interests,” Singh stated.
