had aimed to have a remarkable experience in the Netherlands, going so far as to bypass the European Championships in Belgium for this opportunity. However, an injury has now disrupted the plans of the affable silver medalist from the most recent competition.

To put his record attempt on hold. In 2021, the Belgian established the European record with a time of 2:03:36 in Rotterdam. Although the injury appears minor, Rotterdam is happening too quickly for him. Abdi is now redirecting his attention to other goals.
