The Southwest chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoybo, extended his congratulations to Muslims for celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr, set to take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a period filled with happiness, introspection, and community, signaling the conclusion of Ramadan.

In a statement released for journalists during Eid-ul-Fitr, Ajadi extended congratulations to Muslims upon successfully completing Ramadan. He encouraged them to maintain the ethos of unity and self-sacrifice.

He urged the political figures at both state and federal levels to seize this joyful moment for introspection and to act with altruism.

Ajadi stated that during this time in the nation’s history, sobriety was essential since, in his view, millions of citizens are grappling with hardships.

He stated that the leaders ought to prioritize the needs of the general population and must consistently act as devoted servants to the constituents who chose them.

In the statement, Ajadi mentioned, “I share in the joy of all Muslims for successfully completing this year’s Ramadan. Let us remember that Eid-ul-Fitr is not merely a celebration; it serves as a testament to God’s infinite compassion and the strength of love that reunites families.”

Letโ€™s carry forward the ethos of sacrifice just as weโ€™ve practiced during Ramadan. The heart of harmonious coexistence lies in making sacrifices. Itโ€™s essential for us to celebrate modestly and ensure that those who are less fortunate can also partake in the festivities.

Our political leaders should allow the teachings of Ramadan to inspire their commitment to selflessness. They must work diligently towards implementing programs and policies that improve the lives of ordinary people.

We should all take this opportunity during Eid-ul-fitr to pray for our leaders so that God may guide them correctly. Eid Mubarak! May Allah bestow upon you an abundance of blessings filled with joy, success, and affection.
