The Vice Chancellor of Bowen University in Iwo, Osun State, Professor Jonathan Babalola, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to utilizing the institution’s resources to produce academically proficient and ethically strong graduates for both national and global job markets.

At the 23rd matriculation ceremony of the institution, he shared this comment as approximately 1,600 newly admitted students were formally welcomed into the university community.

Professor Babalola informed the newcomers that Bowen University is more than an educational institution; it’s a community firmly grounded in fundamental principles such as integrity, excellence, enterprise, creativity, and social duty.

He urged the new students to dedicate themselves fully to their academic pursuits and avoid all types of misconduct, distractions, and vices, since the university does not tolerate any kind of antisocial behavior, such as drug use and substance abuse.

The guest speakers, Leye Falade, who serves as the Managing Director and CEO of Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas, and his identical twin brother, Gbite Falade, the MD/CEO of Aradel Holding Plc, emphasized during their talks that enduring achievements in life stem from dedication, perseverance, self-control, and faithfulness to God.

Associated with the 61st anniversary, the College of Animal Health at Ibadan will be graduating 820 students. Ghana has secured the top three positions in the 2024 WAEC International Excellence Awards. The vice chancellor mentioned that Bowen University is producing steadfast and determined leaders ready for the global job market.

They encouraged the newcomers to concentrate on their studies, establish proper priorities, divide their strategies into smaller steps, and follow through with determination.
