A charming four-bedroom standalone cottage has recently been put up for sale — yet prospective purchasers might find themselves puzzled by an odd characteristic present in multiple areas of the home.

From a quick look, the standalone home in Wrexham appears completely normal, featuring a soft-carpeted sitting area, a central kitchen unit, and built-in closets, which make it a desirable advertisement.

Certainly, the property description highlights the house—recently listed for sale at £575,000—as an “outstanding residence” that “combines rustic appeal with modern aesthetics and eco-friendly elements.”

However, the home’s unusual characteristics in multiple rooms have triggered discussions on social media among attentive spectators.

A single element featured in the photo gallery has drawn public interest: the televisions.

Located right at the highest part of the walls in each room, the televisions have all been positioned extremely high up.

Certain individuals have suggested that the present occupants may prefer a reclining chair or are of considerable height.

In either case, many people would experience neck pain from straining their heads upward to view the displays, which are located right under the ceiling.

As @HousingHorrors took followers through the cottage and asked: “Are the televisions positioned too high in this home?”

With 181,600 followers and 8 million likes, the post mentioned that individuals were mocking the property owners regarding their television setup, proposing things like “a bed with a TV that somewhat extends outward at the base” or an appliance that “drops down from the real ceiling.”

Certain audiences considered the television setup excessive. A viewer shared: “It’s Peter Crouch’s place,” and another remarked: “That’s certainly an annoyance.”

Some people speculated on the stature of the property’s present residents, with one individual asking, “Are they all giants?”

Another joke said: “It causes a soreness in the neck just from looking at the photos” and “it must belong to giraffes.”

Some TikTok users supported the owners, with one person writing: “They’re that high so you can simply lie in bed and watch — not too profound.”



A single individual expressed dissent, stating, “Purchase the house and handle the television as you see fit!”

One user stated plainly: “I’m more surprised by the cost of living in Wrexham.”

The house, known as Bakers Lodge, is located in the village of Rhosymadoc, close to Ruabon in Wrexham.

In addition to televisions suitable for taller individuals, the property features vaulted ceilings, a separate two-car garage, and four spacious bedroom suites.

It provides 1,650 square feet of indoor area and is located on a property covering 2,618 square feet.
