Afienya, August 25, GNA – The Assemblies of God Church, Rhema Basilica located in Afienya-Mataheko, has started its 15th-anniversary festivities, urging believers to trust in the strength of prayer.

Reverend Daniel Ackam, the District Pastor of Afienya, mentioned that the energy driving the church comes from the Holy Spirit and divine strength, which can only be obtained through the means known as prayer.

The concept for the event was: “The line has fallen upon me in delightful locations.”

Reverend Ackam stated that for the church to expand and believers to find satisfaction, they should depend solely on prayer, which can bring down Godโ€™s blessing upon them.

He mentioned that 15 years ago, the church began worshipping with five adults and three children, showing that through prayers and great faith, the congregation grew, proving that prayer has an effect.

Managing Director of TDC Ghana Limited, Mr. Courage K.M. Nunekpeku, participated in the event and urged Christians to maintain steady and determined prayer, emphasizing that God responds to petitions.

Mr. Nunekpeku recounted his personal experiences to inspire church congregants to incorporate prayer into their daily lives, mentioning that as a teenager who lost his father when he was just 14, he remained deeply connected to God and managed to overcome challenges.

In honor of the event, the church planned to conduct a parade, an outdoor revival meeting, and visit homes to spread their message.
