Guide for the “Ally of Foe” Mission walkthrough

The primary aim of the “Friend of My Enemy” mission in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows is to

talk to Tomiko at The Hideout

She will clarify that the most advisable step is to rendezvous with Mitsuhide, an endeavor fraught with peril in its own right.

Even though Mitsuhide is a perilous individual, Naoe consents to meeting him. However, our initial step should be pinpointing his precise whereabouts.

Finding Mitsuhide

The game offers a clue that

Mitsuhide is at Katano Castle in Settsu.

So go ahead and utilize your Scouts in that region to establish a waypoint (as shown in the image above). Keep in mind,

If you run out of Scouts, you can replenish them at the Kakurega in your Hideout for a cost of 200 mon.

After arriving at Katano Castle, go ahead and enter freely. Initially, I believed it was off-limits, yet there are actually no restrictions, and you wonโ€™t encounter any guards stopping you. Just be sure not to provoke the guards; avoid actions like brandishing weapons or accidentally colliding with them.

Inside Katano Castle,

use Observe

To conduct an overview of the region and locate the tiny azure spot, which indicates the position of Mitsuhide. You’ll find him within a modest structure on the northwest part of the fortress.

Speaking to Mitsuhide

While talking to Mitsuhide, you had
a few dialogue choices
To select from. Initially, Mitsuhide will assert knowing crucial details about Naoe’s plans, prompting you to reply with either “You know much” or “You know nada.”

Mitsuhide will also mention that he is aware of Naoe’s father and the circumstances surrounding his death. You may then reply with either “I trust you” or “I do not believe you.”

Bear in mind that all of these should be remembered
Choices in dialogue alter the result.
Of the mission or narrative, go ahead and pick whatever you prefer.

They modify the conversations you get with Mitsuhide.

Nevertheless, itโ€™s enjoyable to engage in roleplaying, so if you wish to portray a daring version of Naoe, feel free to contradict him. Conversely, should you opt for embodying a naive Naoe, perhaps adopt the credulous path and concur with all of Mitsuhideโ€™s statements.

Either way, surprisingly,

Mitsuhide has agreed to assist Naoe with her mission.

He will assign his son-in-law and fellow conspirator, Lord Ise Sadaoki, to assist you in making contact with Oba Nobunaga, who is the next objective of Naoe.

These two elements will enable Naoe to access Honnoji, signaling the beginning of the subsequent principal mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows titled “Belly of the Beast.”
