All the medical colleges in the state were represented on Thursday at the Government Doon Medical College in Patel Nagar, according to a press release.

A total of 1,232 newly
nursing officers
have been assigned in the state.

On this occasion, he likewise unveiled the auditorium of Doon Medical College, constructed for 26 crore rupees.

He mentioned that rapid healthcare services would be provided to patients at government medical colleges. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the nursing personnel and health workers assumed crucial roles.

As the entire globe faced this challenge, our nursing personnel and healthcare providers served unselfishly as front-line heroes. Day and night, they dedicated themselves to saving patient lives, disregarding their personal safety, the statement further noted.

will be fully devoted and uphold human values, playing a crucial part in enhancing the stateโ€™s healthcare services.

The Chief Minister additionally mentioned that through the Ayushman Yojana, over 11 lakhs patients within the state have availed treatments amounting to more than Rs 2,100 crores without having to pay out-of-pocket expenses. Furthermore, the statement highlighted that a medical college is being set up in each district of the state with the aim of making contemporary healthcare services readily accessible for residents in distant regions right at their local level.

A helicopter ambulance service has been launched across all regions of the state, providing crucial assistance to those in distant locations during emergencies.

The Chief Minister stated that ongoing initiatives aim to address the staffing shortages at government hospitals and medical institutions. To bolster medical education, they’ve hired 173 assistant professors, 56 faculty members, and 185 technical personnel up until now. Consequently, over 22,000 young people from the region secured governmental positions within merely three years.

At the same time, Medical Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, who was also in attendance, stated that the administration is working towards ensuring individuals receive improved and more cost-effective care within their homes.

Preparations are being made to commence operations at the Pithoragarh and Rudrapur medical colleges shortly. This initiative will not only supply physicians to the government but also offer job opportunities to individuals.

In order to enhance the functioning of the medical college, plans include implementing a structured transfer policy, ensuring prompt advancement opportunities for staff members, and assigning positions based on available slots within the institution.

Dr. R Rajesh Kumar, Medical Secretary, stated that the department aims to enhance both medical education and healthcare services. To achieve this, they sometimes hire physicians at the Class IV level staff position. (ANI)
