Ukraine reported that Kyiv and several other areas were targeted by Russian attacks during the night. The country’s defense forces reportedly neutralized 11 Ukrainian drones used by Russia on the same night, according to the ministry.

Russia took out 11 Ukrainian drones in a single night, according to the ministry.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated on Sunday that their anti-aircraft units successfully intercepted and neutralized 11 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles during the night.

The drones targeted the Kursk, Belgorod, and Rostov regions, according to a statement from the ministry posted on Telegram.

There were no reports of injuries; however, acting governor Yuri Slyusar of Rostov mentioned that some debris had landed on administrative structures within the area.

Kyiv hit by Russian missiles: mayor

The capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, was hit by Russian missiles early on Sunday morning, according to the city’s mayor, resulting in injuries to at least three people.

“Blasts occurring in the city. Anti-aircraft defenses are active. Missile attacks on Kyiv persist. Remain in your shelters!” stated Mayor Vitali Klitschko via Telegram.

He mentioned that fires had erupted in certain non-residential structures, with several vehicles also ablaze. Medical personnel from two different areas were dispatched to the locations.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that missiles had struck the Chernihiv region in northern Ukraine as well. Additionally, there were accounts of Moscow targeting various locations throughout Ukraine starting from Saturday evening.

The local administration reported that at least two apartment buildings in the southern city of Mykolaiv were struck by Russian drones.

On Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called upon the global community not to remain indifferent following the attack on his birthplace of Kryvyi Rih, which resulted in 18 fatalities. He emphasized the importance of taking notice of this tragedy.
