The already massive Escalade IQ electric SUV has grown even larger.

Similar to how the gasoline-powered Escalade has offered an extended ESV variant for numerous years, its electric equivalent is now getting lengthened as well. Unlike the ESV which boasts a longer wheelbase, this modification isnโ€™t applied to the Escalade IQL. Despite having the same axle-to-axle measurement of 136.2 inches as the standard IQ model, the overall body of the Escalade IQL extends by 4.2 inches. Measuring at 228.5 inches (or approximately 5.83 meters), this regal electric luxury vehicle stretches quite notably from front to back.

This vehicle stands out as one of the longest in production, exceeding the Escalade ESV by 1.5 inches. In comparison, itโ€™s even longer than models like the Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, Chevrolet Suburban, or Lincoln Navigator L. Among production carsโ€”pickup trucks excludedโ€”a few notable exceptions include the Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase (EWB), the Bentley Mulsanne EWB, and so forth.
Mercedes S-Class Pullman
, including the classic Maybach 62. Notable mention also goes to the impressive Bugatti Royale, stretching over 252 inches (6.4 meters) in length.

The spacious design provides third-row passengers with over four inches of extra legroom and an additional inch of headspace. Cargo capacity has increased as well, now offering 24.2 cubic feet when the back seats are upright, which is 0.5 cubic feet more than previously. If you fold down the third row, the space expands to 75.4 cubic feetโ€”an improvement of 6.3 cubic feet. Lowering the second row increases this even further to 125.2 cubic feet, adding another six cubic feet compared to before. Interestingly, the front storage compartment stays constant at 12.2 cubic feet.

The luxurious SUV boasts everything oversized. With its impressive 24-inch rims fitted with 35-inch tires and an enormous 205-kWh battery pack, the Escalade IQL embodies over-the-top American extravagance in electrified form. Similar to the regular IQ, it delivers a staggering output of 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. Its twin-engine, all-wheel-drive configuration allows for a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds; meanwhile, the smaller version claims a time under five seconds.

The weight isnโ€™t specified, but donโ€™t be shocked if itโ€™s around 9,000 pounds or about equivalent to an elephant.

. As for the towing capacity, it’s down by 500 lbs compared to the standard Escalade IQ, but it’s still a beast at 7,500 lbs. It has all the toys you could think of, including independent and adaptive air suspension,ย Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, and Super Cruise. Even though it’s bigger and heavier, Cadillac estimates an identical 460 miles of range. Just 10 minutes at a DC charging station will put enough juice in the battery for 116 miles.

Cadillac went beyond simply extending the SUVโ€™s frame; they revamped it with new design elements for the Escalade IQL. This version features a steeper back end along with reshaped C-pillars. A key differentiator is the significantly bigger side window at the rear of this extended variant. By eliminating the bulky panel found on the regular IQ, visibility seems improved, particularly during reverse maneuvers.

Within the spacious seven-seater behemoth, the ample screen space continues. At the forefront, you’ll find a 55-inch curved display, whereas those seated in the middle row will receive 12.6-inch tablets when the vehicle is equipped with the Executive Second Row option. Additionally, this extra feature comes with an impressive array of at least 42 speakers distributed across the expansive interior. In contrast, even the base version boasts a sophisticated sound system featuring 21 speakers.

Cadillac prices the Escalade IQL at $132,695 before options, which is $2,705 higher than the standard IQ model. The extended luxury electric vehicle is set to start production in mid-2025 and will be available in the U.S., Canada, and certain international markets.

The Escalade Is Now Electric:

  • The Cadillac Escalade IQ is significantly pricier than the gas-powered model.
  • In 2025, the electric Cadillac Escalade IQ makes its debut with an impressive range of 450 miles and delivers up to 750 horsepower.
