Tarakhela-3 Ward Chair Found Dead in Baglung: International Edition

On April 9, Nepal reported that Karna Bahadur Bhandri, who held the position of ward chair for Tarkhola-3, Baglung, was discovered deceased on Wednesday. His lifeless body was located suspended from a wooden beam close to his residence at approximately 11 AM.

After locals noticed his body suspended by a rope around his neck, they notified the authorities. Upon receiving this information, the police proceeded to the location and retrieved the body. This account was provided by Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijay Yadav from the District Police Office in Baglung.

Led by Inspector Bishnu Prasad Sharma from the Tarakhola Police Post, a team comprising four officers has joined forces with an additional seven personnel commanded by Police Officer Devaraj Kafle from the Galkot Area Police Office. Their mission is to continue the investigation and finalize all necessary legal processes.

In the 2079 local elections, Bhandari was chosen as a ward chair under the CPN (Maoist Centre) ticket.
