Rams
Have witnessed how over the last two years, Nacua has grown into one of the top young wide receivers in the NFL. However, his previous coaches were well aware of this dedication much earlier on.

Jeremy Hill, who previously coached Nacua when he was not yet in college, later guided him during his time at Washington and subsequently at BYU.
informed Rams journalist Wyatt Miller
He found out that Nacau spent four to six hours each weekend analyzing game videos during his middle school years. According to Hill, his athletes usually reviewed between 20 to 30 minutes of video weekly using Hudl, a tool used by schools for watching and uploading game clips. However, Nacua watched up to twelve times more film compared to both his fellow middle schoolers and the players from Orem High School, as stated by Hill.

As Hill pointed out, the effort was worthwhile since plays flowed naturally to Nacua when he stepped onto the practice field.

Hill mentioned that whenever he came to practice, he would discuss things he noticed from the game or during the chalk talks, always being well-informed about them.

Nacua proceeded to establish new Utah high school football benchmarks with 5,226 career receiving yards and 58 touchdowns, along with setting the single-season marks for receiving yards and touchdowns at 2,336 and 26 respectively during his final year. Although Nacua did not achieve remarkable statistics in college, accumulating 1,749 receiving yards and scoring 14 touchdowns over 32 games, his gameplay impressed the Rams sufficiently for them to select him in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

His story continues to unfold, yet the trajectory of Nacua’s efforts during his middle school years can clearly lead to his achievement of breaking the NFL rookie record for most receiving yards in 2023. With an impressive tally of 2,476 receiving yards and nine touchdowns across only 28 NFL games so far, he is anticipated to take on the role of Matthew Stafford’s main target in 2025.

Everything achieved just by dedicating six hours of study time every weekend during my middle school days.
