The Hyderabad branch of the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) has shown its backing for the Sindh Employees Association (SEA), which is demonstrating opposition to the province’s recent changes regarding pension regulations.

A statement released today by the Bar’s General Secretary, Israr Hussain Chang, stated that the SHCBA remains firmly united with the SEA. He mentioned that legal professionals oppose the reduction in pensions as well as the lack of action regarding salary reform initiatives. According to him, the SHCBA calls for an immediate halt to governmental efforts aimed at eroding the rights of retirees. Chang further urged the adoption of a pay scale that aligns with current economic conditions and rising prices. Additionally, he requested the formalization of contracts held by temporary workers.
