The State Trading Corporation (TCP) of Pakistan has acquired an initial 30,000 metric tons of white sugar through an international bidding process aimed at securing approximately 200,000 tons, which concluded last week, according to European dealers reporting on Tuesday.

The authenticity of additional price proposals received in the bid has been prolonged until Wednesday, August 27, indicating further acquisitions may still occur, according to dealers.

The first acquisition of 30,000 tons was reportedly sourced from Al Khaleej Sugar for mid-grade sugar at approximately $582.50 per ton c&f, according to them.

Accounts indicate evaluations provided by merchants, with additional projections regarding price and quantity potentially remaining open for future updates.
