The truth is out there, and the numbers show exactly where.

Fresh information from the National UFO Reporting Center has disclosed precisely which locations offer the highest chances of spotting an unidentified flying object in the sky.

The analysis examined 149,000 sighting entries from the Reporting Center’s database, along with social media reports to determine how many encounters are experienced per capita in each state.

Coming in first, Californians have recorded a staggering 36,286 reported UFO sightings since 1974.

This makes it officially America’s alien hotspot with one sighting for every 1,075 residents.

California’s clear night skies and dense population have created perfect conditions for UFO sightings.

In fact, just last month, the harrowing call aย US Air Force pilot made to air traffic control was released after they described ‘three orange-like lights’ hovering silently above Los Angeles.

The unknown craft came as close as 10 feet of the pilot’s wing, reaching supersonic speeds, as the US Air Force craft was conducting a secret mission over
California
.

The pilot, who identified as ‘Troy 21,’ told local air traffic control (ATC) in
Los Angeles
This might sound strange, but I felt something move under my wing recently, possibly an object about the size of a football directly beneath my wing.

During the September 17, 2024, incident, ATC can be heard asking Troy 21 if he thought it was a drone, but the stunned pilot couldn’t give an answer.

Troy 21 responded that his sensor operator was searching for the UFO using the aircraftโ€™s cameras, mentioning that it appeared as a โ€˜dark gray cylindrical objectโ€™ not larger than a soccer ball.

The pilot swiftly notified Air Traffic Control that they had detected the UFO approximately 60 miles away from where it initially circled around Troy 21’s aircraft.

Further along in the recording, an additional air traffic controller from Los Angeles can be heard over the radio downplaying the event, stating that ‘a UFO was reportedly spotted here, but everything concerning it has been resolved. Therefore, you donโ€™t need to concern yourself with it… itโ€™s disappeared.’

Former
FBI
Agent Ben Hansen informed NewsNation that the enigmatic object likely had to be moving at Mach 2, which is double the speed of sound, to travel such a distance so rapidly.

The state to come in second in terms of the appearance Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) was Washington.

The Pacific Northwest has consistently drawn individuals curious about the unknown, with Washington documenting 7,125 UFO sightings.

That’s roughly one for every 1,093 people.

Between 1948 and 1952, when Americaโ€™s manufacturing of nuclear arms began to escalate initially,
waves of UFO sightings
started appearing around Washington state’s Hanford nuclear production facility, along with those in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and various locations involved in the Manhattan Project.

In the meantime, Florida secured the third position with over 11,000 documented interactions.

That’s approximately one sighting for every 1,144 people in Florida.

Just last December, a flight attendant working off the coast of Florida succeeded in capturing a

She was working at an altitude of thousands of feet over the Bahamas.

On December 23, Cassandra Martin, who works as a flight attendant for the private airline Surjet, was aboard an empty aircraft with two pilots. While returning to Fort Lauderdale from Miami, air traffic control informed them about a ‘foreign object.’

The unsettling video displayed a round fuzzy patch of white light transitioning into green hues, encircled by a glowing ring around the entity.

Coming in fourth is Oregon, which had one UFO sighting per 1,156 residents.

Similar to the recent incident in California, a handful of pilots reported
spotting mysterious lights darting through the skies
over
Oregon
in December.

One of the reports came from an air ambulance pilot, who described seeing a bright light streaking toward his aircraft before abruptly reversing course and heading back toward the Pacific Ocean on the evening of December 7.

‘Red in color – moving at extreme speeds. I don’t even know how to describe how fast it was moving,’ the pilot told air-traffic controllers.

The following evening, a United Airlines pilot similarly observed strange luminous phenomena in the region around Eugene.

“We’ve identified three or four targets. Theyโ€™re varying in altitudeโ€”up and down. This is quite chaotic,” the pilot informed the air traffic control personnel, who verified that there were no military operations occurring nearby.

The pilot of the air ambulance also observed an object moving in a ‘helical path’ as shown on the aircraftโ€™s collision prevention system.

‘You have clearance to make necessary maneuversโ€”either left or rightโ€”to avoid.’
UFO
Out there,” an air-traffic controller replied, as per an audio recording of their conversation.

Short video clips taken by pilots and crew showed lights in the night sky, but the dark conditions made it difficult to discern specific details.

In the meantime, New York completes the top five with one sighting for every 1,301 individuals.

In November, a
A mysterious spherical object was seen
over
New York City
‘s Hudson River in a news broadcast, sparking wild conspiracies.

An apparentย bright object was seen zooming into the shot of the city’s famous skyline.

The video, shot by a helicopter, captured a
fast-moving ball of light starting from Hoboken
,
New Jersey
and swooping around toward the World Trade Center where it vanished.

Specialists proposed that the ‘orb’ might have been either an optical anomaly caused by the helicopter glass in front of the lens or possibly an out-of-focus bird.

However, this sighting has caused some residents of New York City to wonder whether ‘ุตู†ุฏ

Harvard physicist, Avi Loeb,
wrote
that the enigmatic sphere was crafted by

A gleaming patch resulting from sunlight reflecting as the camera slowly adjusted its position in relation to the sun and the earth.

Loeb went on to say that if the sphere were indeed a physical entity, it would have been traveling at the speed of soundโ€”not some remarkable velocity.

People looking to steer clear of alien sightings might want to stay in Louisiana, as its inhabitants have the least number of UFO encounters across the country โ€“ only one report for every 3,815 individuals.

Even more secure is North Dakota, with just 282 overall sightings โ€” roughly 0.0004 per person โ€” making it statistically the state where you are least prone to experience a close encounter of the third kind.
