Lauren Graham Shares Her Take on ‘Gilmore Girls’ Netflix Boom: “Paid in Love Instead of residuals”

“Gilmore Girls” has proven to be one of the prime broadcast sitcoms to have achieved extended life on streaming, even receiving a Netflix revival season “A Year in the Life” in 2016. However, that digital popularity hasn’t necessarily seen extensive compensation for the series cast, as star Lauren Graham
explained
During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday night.

When questioned about this issue by Kimmel, Graham stated, ‘There truly aren’t any residuals from Netflix. Unfortunately, but I’ve received payment through love.’ He continued, ‘Our reach has expanded significantly compared to what we had on The WB. … Now, viewers span across all age groups and genders; many times, their family members likely made them watch it. I frequently get approached, which still astonishes me each time despite that.’
