A young Ghanaian individual named Kofi Offeh has attracted significant attention following his statement that he and his community “are the legitimate inhabitants of Scotland.”

For many years, the 36-year-old man from Ghana, along with his wife, Jean Gasho from Zimbabwe, has lived in a forested region close to Jedburgh, within the Scottish Borders, approximately 41 miles south of Edinburgh.

A Ghanaian individual, said to have been enrolled at Valley View University, convinced an American woman named Kaura Taylor from Texas—now known as Asnat—to accompany them into the forest and act as their servant.

The group, asserting they are the true residents of Scotland, have been offering their supporters a view of forest living through videos shared on their platform.

They follow a wandering way of life, living without connections to main power sources, residing in tents, and engaging in ceremonial washing.

King Atehene walks through the streets as king

A 2023 video has come back into view showing King Atehene walking through a street in Scotland, claiming to be the legitimate successor of Great Britain.

He was recorded stating in the footage that “Black individuals were the first inhabitants of the nation and that it’s now time for British citizens to learn about their past.”

Some spectators did not appreciate his comments and immediately expressed their dissent.

As reported by the Daily Mail, officials from the Scottish Borders removed King Atehene from a property managed by the Council. Nevertheless, the group has since set up residence at a site that does not belong to the Council.

He is over 34 years old since he finished Amokom APS JHS and attended Prempeh College, where he was a member of KTS (Kunta Kente Tintin and Scobo – Kofi Nino), then enrolled at Valley View University and currently resides in Scotland.

We, the people of Kubala Land, do not dread the cold season. We are reclaiming our homeland. My lord, inform them to grant me a visa so I may come and be with you.

Scotland is not separate from the United Kingdom; it is included within it. The United Kingdom comprises four primary nations: England, Wales, Ireland, and Scotland. Therefore, Scotland is a component of the United Kingdom.

Lovely King356 opined:

Now our brother is setting up a location for all Africans, so we won’t require a visa to go to Scotland lol.
