is set to headline the comedy ‘
72 Hours
‘ with
Tim Story
Directing. HeartBeat, Davis Entertainment, Counterbalance, and Will Packer are producing based on a screenplay by Matt Mider & Kevin Burrows, along with Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg.

The movie centers around a 40-year-old executive aiming to revive his struggling career by tagging along with a bunch of twentysomething guys for an outrageous three-day bachelor party. It turns out he was mistakenly included in their group text conversation. According toDeadline, Ross Fanger will be serving as the executive producer.

The movie is being developed through a collaboration where Sony Pictures will grant Netflix priority access to all films they plan to create specifically for streaming platforms.

Since Hurwitz and Schlossberg wrote the first version of the script, Davis Entertainment has taken charge of developing the project. With Hart’s recent agreement to join the cast and RideAlongโ€™s director Story signing on, the initiative has regained momentum and now holds top priority at Netflix, according to reports.

The movie is a product of their enduring collaboration, adding humor to the platform. They unveiled one last year.

Prior to this success, their 2022 release, Me Time, similarly claimed the number one spot upon debut according to Deadline reports.

The filmmaker has helmed eleven significant studio feature films, with eight of them debuting at the top spot at the box office during their opening weekend. These include “Tom & Jerry,” “Ride Along 2,” “Think Like A Man Too,” “Ride Along,” “Think Like A Man,” “Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer,” “Fantastic Four,” and “Barbershop.” Collectively, his movies have earned over $1 billion at the box office, marking him as the first African American director to reach this achievement, according to Deadline.
