On April 1, Deepak Raj Joshi from the Nepal Student Union (NSU) was elected as the President of the Free Student Union (FSU) at Tribhuvan University Central Campus in Kirtipur. He secured 789 votes for his victory.

In 2079, NSU emerged victorious in the student elections held at the TU campus, with Shyam Raj Ojha leading their ticket.

In this round of elections, the contest was highly competitive between student groups representing three distinct political factions at the TU campus.

In total, 3,118 votes were cast, with Deepak Raj Joshi obtaining 789 votes. Meanwhile, Siddhant Bhatta from the All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU) garnered 781 votes. Additionally, Prabin Dahal of the same union secured 727 votes.
