Husband and Wife Tragic End: Motorcycle Accident Claims Lives in Morang

KATHMANDU, April 5 — In an incident in Ratuwamai within the Morang district, a couple lost their lives in a motorcycle crash.

The District Traffic Police Office in Morang reported that the incident took place approximately at 10 PM on Friday evening along the internal roadway within Ratuwamai Municipality-6. The motorcycle bearing the registration number Ko 9 Pa 7295 veered off course and collided with an electrical post.

The motorcycle was en route from Ambari to Urlabari when it lost control. The individuals involved were identified as the motorcyclist, Som Tudu, aged 42, hailing from Ratuwamai-1 Kalyanpur, along with his 35-year-old spouse, Bamani Hemram.

After the incident, community members promptly took them to Rangeli Hospital for medical attention; however, they both died from their wounds at the facility. The police mentioned that the remains have been retained at Rangeli Hospital for an autopsy.

The authorities have suggested that the incident happened because of excessive speed during nighttime.
