During an open conversation with ANI, Murad discussed Bhansali’s distinctive approach to filmmaking, highlighting his meticulous attitude and explaining how actors must deliver their finest performances to match the director’s stringent expectations.

In 2013, Murad remembered how Bhansali, who looks up to the renowned filmmaker Raj Kapoor, initially reached out to him regarding ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’.

I am a huge admirer of Raj Kapoor. Additionally, he is my junior from the same institution, yet he is considerably younger than I am,” Murad mentioned.

The actor nostalgically recalled their initial encounter for the movie, during which they primarily talked about the timeless classic ‘Prem Rog’ and Raj Kapoor’s methodology in cinema.

It was clear from their discussions that Bhansali held great respect for Raj Kapoor. Murad mentioned, “‘He had a deep fascination with both Raj Kapoor and the film ‘Prem Rog.’” Furthermore, he noted, “’His most beloved movie is ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili.’ According to him, whenever this film airs, he sets aside all else just to watch until the conclusion because it deeply resonates with him.’”

Murad also addressed Bhansali’s penchant for perfectionism and the stringent benchmarks he establishes during production.

Murad stated, “He is extremely dedicated to his work and strives for flawlessness. He sets incredibly high standards for those around him. If he approves of your performance as an actor, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with any director globally.”

“On set, he has an eye for every detail–from the clothes to the makeup, to the colors of the background. He is a visualizer. He wants exactly what he envisions, and there is no compromise in that,” Murad added during a conversation with ANI.

Referring to Bhansali as a “genius,” Murad emphasized how the director’s meticulous focus on each small detail of film production enhances the striking visual allure of his movies.

“I’d describe him as a genius. His large team makes certain that even the tiniest flaws don’t slip through,” Murad said additionally.

He similarly remembered how carefully Bhansali chose the perfect appearance for his role in ‘صندVMLINUX’

— even the tiniest detail, like the styling of his facial hair, underwent examination, with Bhansali giving personal approval to the final selection.

Murad disclosed that he is once again teaming up with Bhansali for a new venture, which will be their fifth time collaborating together.

“Yes, the invite has arrived for a new project. It seems I’m the only actor he’s used five times,” Murad remarked, gratified by the director’s confidence in him, further stating, “He considers me his good luck charm.”
