Consumers have the option to secure their money within their saving accounts.

GXS Bank
has introduced a funds freeze function, allowing its users to secure part or all of their deposits via the application.

With the Money Lock function, clients can secure the funds within their savings accounts, with the ability to lock as many as 8 different savings compartments. Users simply have to access the settings of their specific account to activate this feature.

According to data released by the Singapore Police Force, over S$53 million was stolen through fraud in Singapore during June 2025. This involved more than 600 incidents, with S$1 million specifically attributed to online shopping-related scams.

In order to access their savings account, clients must arrange a video confirmation session with a GXS Buddy, which refers to the bank’s customer service representatives.

The digital bank stated in a press release that these GXS Buddies have been educated on recognizing indicators of possible fraud and providing guidance to customers to prevent them from becoming victims of such schemes.

After completing the video confirmation process, the holder of the GXS Savings Account will receive an email at their registered address informing them that they have submitted a request to release their funds.

GXS Bank also enforces a 12-hour waiting period prior to moving the available balance from the customer’s savings wallet to their primary account.
