…with a national certification and involvement program

Fidelity Bank Ghana has once again demonstrated its position at the forefront of financial access by effectively organizing the 2025 version of its Agent Training and Participation Program throughout the nation.

A program that gathered almost 900 representatives from each of the six active regions took place between late June and early August, focusing on training and certifying chosen agents with essential abilities and understanding to improve service quality, effectiveness, and adherence to regulations.

The initiative had two parts: a credentialing program for Bronze-level agents, and an engagement strategy for top-tier agents, strengthening their role as essential contacts for financial services in both city and rural areas.

Agents received intensive instruction in critical domains such as Operational Risk, Compliance, Physical Security, and Agency Quality Assurance. After completing the training, they took assessments and were awarded certifications upon passing, reflecting their dedication to maintaining high professional standards.

Godfred Attafuah, the Divisional Head of Retail Banking at Fidelity Bank, highlighted the significance of this program. “Our representatives form the core of our efforts toward financial inclusion, and their expertise and dedication are crucial,” he stated.

This training program reflects our dedication to both equip our representatives and provide a safe and dependable banking service for all Ghanaians, irrespective of where they reside. It focuses on fostering confidence and delivering an exceptional customer experience with each interaction.

Throughout the training sessions, representatives received updates about ongoing improvements being implemented within the Agency Banking Division. These initiatives focus on simplifying processes, improving customer service, and enhancing assistance provided to agents.

Dr. David Okyere, Director of Agency Banking at Fidelity Bank, emphasized the program’s progressive approach. “It goes beyond mere accreditation; it’s about forming a collaboration for tomorrow,” he mentioned.

Providing our representatives with cutting-edge equipment and education allows them to operate more efficiently and effectively. The advancements we’ve introduced, such as mobile cash withdrawals and improved platforms, demonstrate our dedication to offering our staff top-quality assets to succeed and deliver superior service to our clients.

The 2025 initiative reached all areas served by Fidelity Bank, covering Greater Accra, Ashanti, Bono, Western, Eastern, and Northern regions, with events held in major urban centers like Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani, Takoradi, Koforidua, Tamale, and Wa. Altogether, 892 agents participated in the training and interaction programs, highlighting Fidelity Bankโ€™s role as Ghana’s top agent banking service provider, operating through a national network exceeding 8,000 agents.

This effort is an integral component of Fidelity Bank’s overall objective to achieve widespread financial inclusion by providing banking facilities to underprivileged and isolated areas, thus enhancing Ghana’s productive sector.
