Addis Ababa, March 27, 2025 (POA) — The Pan-African Youth Leadership Summit is scheduled to take place in Addis Ababa from April 3-5, 2025, with the theme “Unleashing the Potential of Young People for an Thriving Africa,” as announced by the Ministry of Women and Social Affairs.









During today’s press briefing, Ethiopia’s Minister for Women and Social Affairs, Ergoge Tesfaye, stated that the primary objective of the summit is to boost the involvement of young Africans in fostering prosperity and sustainability across the continent through peaceful means.







She stated that preparations are ongoing to organize a successful summit in conjunction with the African Union and relevant organizations.







The minister stated that the summit will be crucial for promoting pan-Africanism amongst young Africans.







The summit aims to discuss multiple topics focused on strengthening African youth capabilities including diplomacy so they can effectively protect Africa’s interests on the global stage.







Highlighting Africa’s significant young demographic, she emphasized that equipping youths with the means to engage in economic and political matters will support the initiative to create the Africa they envision.







The summit will take place at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum and gather approximately 1000 participants.







In addition to the main event, startup exhibitions and cultural exchanges will also take place, according to the minister.
