Stand-up comedian Eric Omondi has stepped in to help two orphans who have gained online attention.

The siblings, whose mother passed away in the Coptic Roundabout incident in Kisumu County, became popular after an emotional video showing them weeping at her tomb was posted on the internet.

Eric posted a video on social media following his visit to their village. He was shown guiding them through a supermarket for shopping.

He stated that two orphaned children are currently under the care of their grandmother.

Eric disclosed that he established a store for the guardian focused on environmental sustainability and provided her with some funds.

“Three young girls became orphans when they lost their parents in the recent bus crash in Nyakach, Kisumu. Their grandmother has become both their mother and father. We helped them go shopping and started a small business to ensure sustainability. ‘We also gave the grandma a little float,’ ” Eric said.

A charitable comedian disclosed that he had utilized some of the funds collected for a deceitful Kitengela woman who fabricated incidents of domestic abuse to seek assistance through Eric’s website.

A woman deceived the comedian and the general public out of over KSh 1 million.

The story started when a video surfaced online depicting a woman supposedly being forced out of her home along with her two kids, which quickly spread across social platforms.

Kenyan citizens called upon Eric Omondi to step in and support the woman via his Sisi Kwa Sisi organization.

Eric Omondi followed the woman and initiated a donation drive, swiftly collecting more than KSh 1 million.

Nevertheless, only a few hours later, it came to light that the narrative had been prearranged to deceive Kenyan citizens.

“this portion comes from only a segment of the funds collected by sisi kwa sisi in the kitengela matter. we shall keep distributing the money among kenyan citizens nationwide. god bless you,” he disclosed.
