The American currency increased compared to the Vietnamese đồng early Tuesday, ending a drop observed at the close of last week.

Vietcombank increased the price of the US dollar by 0.11%, setting it at VND26,510.

Vietnam’s Central Bank reduced its benchmark rate by 0.07% to VND25,273.

The currency increased by 0.11% to reach VND26,580 in the informal exchange rate.

The US dollar has increased by 3.75% compared to the Vietnamese currency during this year.

The U.S. dollar lost some of its earlier gains during Asian trade on Tuesday as U.S. President Donald Trump announced his decision to remove Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook from her role due to allegations of mortgage fraud,

The dollar index dropped 0.3% to 98.187 following Trump’s statement in a letter addressed to Cook, which he shared on social media. This decline occurred after the US currency recorded its largest single-day increase for the month on Monday.
