Washington [US], March 28 (ANI): Warner Bros. has unveiled the trailer for “One Battle After Another,” a gunfighter thriller helmed by director Paul Thomas Anderson and featuring Leonardo DiCaprio.

The movie, featuring Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, and Chase Infiniti, is said to be loosely based on Thomas Pynchon’s book ‘Vineland.’

The trailer opens with DiCaprioโ€™s character, Bob Ferguson, stepping into a grocery store wearing a checkered bathrobe to grab some sunglasses. Afterward, he places a cryptic call from a public phone booth, highlighting his urgent quest to locate his daughter.

“I must locate my daughter,” DiCaprio’s Ferguson states, following his inability to remember vital details.

The voice at the opposite end replies, “Perhaps you ought to have devoted more time to studying the Rebellion texts.”

The trailer includes alternating scenes of Teyana Taylor portraying a pregnant woman wielding a rifle and troops storming a house.

The segment concludes with DiCaprioโ€™s character contemplating his circumstances, remarking dryly, โ€œJust when you believe youโ€™ve got everything under control.โ€

‘The Saga Continues: One Battle After Another’ was originally scheduled for release on August 8 but has been postponed until September 28.

According to Deadline, this shift has fueled rumors of a possible autumn film festival debut, even though director Paul Thomas Anderson favors a conventional theater launch.

Anderson’s final movie, “The Master,” had its debut at the Venice Film Festival in 2012, earning him the Best Director prize. (ANI)
