Bill Gates
has silently ceased funding a $77 billion foundation that supports
woke
causes and Democratic candidates.

In late June, the Gates Foundation chose to cease providing financial support for nonprofit organizations overseen by Arabella Advisors, based in Washington D.C., as stated in an internal foundation communication.
acquired from the New York Times.

Senior leaders of the organization, which typically backs global health programs, stated they will refrain from making any additional investments through “Arabella-connected companies,” won’t renew current funding for the profit-driven advisory company, and may seek to exit some long-standing investments ahead of schedule.

They mentioned an intention to interact more personally with those receiving grants and reduce reliance on middlemen as the justification for the adjustment.

“Teams are now collaborating more frequently with programmatic partnersโ€”organizations that are strongly integrated within the communities we support and share a close alignment with our goals,” stated the announcement from June 24.

As we move forward, this presents an opportunity to establish stronger, longer-lasting connections with our collaboratorsโ€”and to strengthen the legacy we aim to create.

A representative from the Gates Foundation stated in a message to the Times that their decision to sever connections with Arabella was “a business choice based on our standard strategic evaluations and collaborations.”

However, the shift occurs against the backdrop of heightened attention on Arabella due to its “dark money” funds backing Democrats and liberal initiatives, reflecting Gates’ aim to safeguard the nonprofit he established and headed for almost 30 years.

A billionaire has grown more focused on safeguarding the Gates Foundation, as reported by the Times, following threats from former President Donald Trump targeting philanthropists connected to Democratic initiatives and the tax-free standing of certain non-profit organizations.

He has already reduced focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to protect his philanthropy โ€” and it appears he is now seeking to disassociate from Arabella Advisors as part of his broader attempt to shield the foundation.

One of the first and most significant supporters of Arabella, having distributed or committed approximately $450 million to its non-profit initiatives during the past 16 years.

The money subsequently supports non-profit groups working in areas such as gender equity and learning, assisting them with administrative tasks including salary processing.

The money overseen by Arabella serves a comparable purpose for nonprofit organizations that focus on achieving political goals via community involvement, along with managing clearly political financial resources like contributions directed toward Democratic super PACs.

Among its most significant funds, the New Venture Fund has also contributed money to another organization managed by Arabella known as the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which has allocated $97 million to super PACs aiming to support Democratic candidates and oppose Republican ones since 2016.

Arabella Advisors has also been discovered to oversee multiple funds โ€” such as the Sixteen Thirty Fund, Windward Fund, and New Venture Fund โ€” that have all contributed to Community Change and Community Change Action since 2020,

Several conservatives have expressed disapproval of Arabella’s political involvement, as Elon Musk has demanded an inquiry into her organizations, and White House personnel have been informed about her activities.

“It’s ironic that a demonstration meant to ‘Free DC’ was organized by Community Change, a organization backed by significant external dark money aimed at promoting a pro-criminal agenda,” said Caitlin Sutherland, executive director of the non-profit oversight group Americans for Public Trust, to the Post.

DC is experiencing shootings, carjacking incidents, and assaults, but progressive organizations such as The Pritzker Foundation, George Soros, and the Arabella Network invest millions to create demonstrations that undermine our neighborhoods.

However, officials at Arabella argue that its detractors greatly exaggerate its political impact, with Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Megan Cartier stating that Arabella only “offers administrative assistance to hundreds of charitable clients working towards societal transformation.”

“We aren’t receiving donations, issuing grants, or participating in political activities,” she clarified.

Lee Bodner, head of the New Venture Fund, stated that “the grants are limited to nonpartisan activities.”

He mentioned to the Times that funds provided by the Gates Foundation made up only 2% of its total financing during the previous year.

“Gates has remained a key collaborator since the inception of the New Venture Fund, and our partnership continues to this day,” Bodner stated.

Currently, our efforts keep growing through different avenues, and our collaborators acknowledge that the excellent work we perform has never been more crucial.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation recently provided funding to the New Venture Fund in November โ€” allocating $41 million over approximately five years to promote global women’s health initiatives.

With the foundation aiming to recover its investments, certain non-profit organizations collaborating with Arabella are attempting to create separation from the company to maintain their connection with The Gates Foundation.

Some had begun exploring methods to reduce reliance on Arabella’s services prior to the Gates Foundation’s statement, due to concerns that Trump might seize their funds or initiate inquiries into their activities.

These discussions allegedly sped up Gates’ choice to end his association with the advisory company.

Numerous additional organizations have also made moves this summer to depart from New Venture Funds and seek out a different financial supporter.
