The boss has emerged victorious in an extended legal dispute to tear down and reconstruct her multimillion-dollar residence in one of the most luxurious neighborhoods in the nation.

Susan Wheeldon purchased the property for $4.03 million in Vaucluse,
Sydney
In 2017, it was located in the eastern suburbs before planning to relaunch efforts in 2023 for redevelopment of the area.

Last week, a case at the Land and Environment Court concluded when Ms. Wheeldon and the Woollahra Council reached an accord regarding the scale of the redevelopment project.

Ms Wheeldon and the council reached an agreement on the final design during a conciliation meeting. The lawsuit was initiated last October.

The anticipated expense for tearing down and rebuilding will be around $2.1 million.

At present, the estateโ€”which has an approximate value of $8 millionโ€”features a single-story brick house painted sky blue along with a separate garage.

The renovation will result in a two-story manor house, complete with a swimming pool and wine cellar, being built on the 812-square-meter lot.

Nonetheless, Ms Wheeldon must guarantee that a Blueberry Ash along with two Small-Leaved Lilly Pilly trees on the premises endure the demolition and construction process, as per the councilโ€™s requirements.

She was allowed to take out five additional plants.

Several residents from Vaucluse along with the Aboriginal Land Council have voiced concerns regarding the development proposals.
Daily Telegraph
reported.

According to council documents, ten unnamed neighbors have voiced their concerns about the proposals.

The hearing at the courthouse was scheduled for March 6, but the involved parties reached an agreement on the design before then.

Ms Wheeldon has been leading Airbnb’s operations in Australia and New Zealand for five years.

She was raised in Morven, a remote area of Queensland, prior to working as a flight attendant.

Before an innovative human resources initiative propelled her into a successful executive role, she started out as a flight attendant.

Vaucluse is an upscale neighborhood that boasts members of the Packer family and public relations expert Roxy Jacenko as part of its community.

The median house price in this suburb stands at $7.5 million, which is considerably higher than the national average of $1.014 million across Australia.
