A sorrowful week in Bulawayo, my friends, as we grieve the untimely death of football legend Tendai Ndoro, whose body was found several days after he passed away. May his soul find eternal rest.

Well done Emmar

On a more positive note, a round of applause for Emmar The Violinist’s exceptional show at Alliance Franรงaise.

That’s an artist who genuinely understands how to handle the strings. Good job, Emmar; I hope you receive a nomination at the upcoming Bulawayo Arts Awards.

Tabloid golden girl

Sipho Mazibuku appears unable to avoid media attention.

I was shocked to learn that she faced a magistrate for organizing an unauthorized demonstration following her “arrest” of a questionable Malaitisha.

Her courtroom visit also resulted in her supposed BenTen being cleared of theft allegations because of insufficient proof.

Aunt Sipho, there’s a lot of untapped ability within you. If you direct your efforts properly, you’ll achieve great things.

Funny at last

I can’t believe I missed Umahlekisa’s stand-up event. I guess I’m not important enough to get an invitation!

Among those who attended, I learned it was thoughtfully organized, including works by SAโ€™s Khanyisa Bhunu from Scandal!

Although there were several grievances regarding guests taping and disrupting others, the general opinion is that it went well.

It’s reassuring to learn that comedians have become genuinely humorous once more, following a time when numerous people mistook insanity for comedy.

Fake clout

Nccncncncn (shaking my neatly combed head). Bafana bako Bulawayo?

Why do so many people fixate on appearing wealthy on Instagram without putting in the effort to actually achieve it? Recently, I’ve heard about a Haddon & Sly “coolkid” called Ceekay King Kay who has been deceiving individuals with counterfeit tickets for Garden of House performances.

A different customer reported that his online purchase of women’s items resulted in him disappearing.

It brings to mind a particular socialite who ended up being a car thief and just got out of prison. Pay attention, Instagram guys: living comfortably demands dedication.

Sexcapades

I watched a video showing socialite Samuel Chiwanda being undressed and assaulted by two female entertainers.

He claims he was caught in the middle of an exchange of fire, whereas many of us believe he merely wished to dance without settling the bill.

The issue is that you’re all keeping the news hidden like a grumpy mother hen, refusing to let me know what really took place!

Nostalgic week

In conclusion, I felt a sense of longing for the prime days of early 2000s television: Hlengiwe Mntanami, Stitsha, Sinjalo, and the legendary Friday Live at Amakhosi.

Local television used to be enjoyable. Nowadays, modern producers quickly go for attractive young women who have long fingernails but lack real ability. No, no, no. We should feel embarrassed.

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
