Shopee Malaysia states that these affiliates focus on recommending items they have personally tried as well as highly rated products like traditional Malaysian clothes (baju raya) and home decor, ensuring customers receive trustworthy and pertinent recommendations.

Aside from curated content, approximately 90% of affiliates are utilizing Shopee Video to provide festive shopping guides, style inspirations, and gift suggestions.

“By producing imaginative unboxing videos and comprehensive product reviews, they enhance consumer trust and make online shopping more engaging and satisfying,” the report stated.

In the meantime, 13% connect with their audience via unboxing videos and live product demonstrations, providing a more intimate and engaging experience.

Tan Ming Kit, who leads marketing and business intelligence at Shopee Malaysia, stated, “Creators go beyond just promoting items; they foster trust, provide genuine insights, and assist buyers in making well-informed decisions for their festival needs.”

As the Raya Bersama Shopee Campaign approaches, every affiliate views it as an opportunity to broaden their audience and engage with Malaysians seeking reliable suggestions and special offers.

Recently, Shopee organized Rumah Terbuka Shopee, which was attended by approximately 900 affiliates along with 30 different brands. This gathering included an impressive 78-hour live stream session called Brand-Affiliate Livestream Matchmaking, drawing in over 800,000 spectators. Such activities have reinforced collaborations and increased interaction among brands and content creators.

Shopee has launched several programs including the Shopee Video Mission, the Ramadan Raya “Pos & Menang” initiative, Shopee Liveโ€™s Stream-A-Thon event, and the Content Creators’ Club. Currently, 75% of partners are actively involved in these activities, whereas the remaining 25% look forward to discovering fresh prospects in the coming year.
