Who’s the Real Owner? Karimot Exposes WunmiI and Naira Marley’s Secret Account

Karimot Ogunbayo, the sister-in-law of the deceased musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also referred to as Mohbad, has responded to comments made by Azeez Fashola, widely recognized as Naira Marley, regarding the late artist’s financial matters.

Naira Marley finally spoke out following revelations from social media campaigner Martins Vincent Otse, widely recognized as Verydarkman, who uncovered a WhatsApp chat initiated by Iyabo Ojo.

The leader of the Marlians stated that he transferred funds into the banking accounts of both Wunmi’s mother and Mohbad’s mother.

Several hours following the widespread popularity of his video, an older interview featuring Mohbad emerged again, during which the deceased artist discussed his financial situation.

He verified that money was actually transferred into his mother’s account but did not comment on any financial transfers made to Wunmi’s mother’s account.

As an answer, Karimot, Wunmi’s sibling, explained that the account belonged to Wunmi and not her mother.

She stated that upon learning about it, she requested an account summary, yet nobody replied. Karimot also asserted that the individuals in the WhatsApp group advocating for justice for Mohbad knew about the account and its actual owner.

A vintage clip of Karimot discussing Wunmi’s residence resurfaces

Furthermore, an outdated clip featuring Karimot emerged, in which she discussed the home Wunmi was constructing for her mother.

In the video, Karimot stated that although Wunmi asserted she was responsible for constructing the house, this wasn’t completely accurate. While Wunmi provided a large part of the funds, Karimot explained that she herself purchased some bricks for their mother, though Wunmi remained the main source of financial support for the construction.

It should be highlighted that Karimot has always responded to updates regarding Mohbad and her sibling. Earlier, she made remarks about the popular video showing Sam Larry assaulting Mohbad.

@official_ose007 stated:

They ran Mohbad street, how can someone keep putting money into their mother-in-law’s account?

@elofunam commented:

So according to Wunmi’s statement, NM was depositing Mohbad’s funds? Why didn’t Moh have an account? That seems quite odd.

@omonomosesworld said:

Can you believe it? Still, Nigerians will look at everything and claim the Naira is the issue.

@crushbeautyplace reacted:

I’m confused about all this drama—Is Wunmi his wife or girlfriend? Because I can’t picture myself as a wife without any input or control over my husband’s assets. If your spouse is careless with money, as a wife, you should intervene with the best interests of the family in mind. Abi.
