Viola Davis unveiled her newest Amazon action movie, titled “G20,” at a premiere event in Los Angeles on Thursday.
She remarked, ‘This truly embodies a heroic tale.’ The protagonist is a woman juggling her role as a mother to an adolescent daughter going through rebellion. In my view, this setup beautifully suits the archetype of an unwilling hero.’
In the movie, Davis portrays the President of the United States, under the direction of director Patricia Riggen.
Davis mentions that prioritizing collaborations with female directors has been important to her ever since she established her production company alongside her spouse, Julius Tennon.
“At JuVee Productions, we’re committed to representing the full range of human experience by collaborating with individuals and exceptional artists often pushed aside. Despite this, these talented individuals possess remarkable skills and powerful narratives waiting to be shared,” she stated.
G20 premieres on Prime Video on April 10.
