The seasoned Nigerian artist Innocent Idibia, widely recognized as 2FACE or 2BABA, has at last addressed his mother’s statement suggesting that he had been abducted.
A month later, he responded following a contentious video posted online by his mother, where she claimed that the singer had vanished without a trace and was allegedly abducted.
After her allegations, the Idibia family submitted an official request to the Department of State Services, reporting the music legend as missing. Dated February 7 and signed by their attorney, Wilson Anuge, the petition mentioned that 2Face/2Baba was last spotted on February 10, 2025. The paperwork noted that he departed his residence wearing leisure clothes for what should have been a normal stroll but did not come back.
Nevertheless, the singer has playfully mocked the accusations during a recent performance at a comedy event.
During his act at a recent comedy show that went viral on Sunday, 2Face/2Baba jokingly remarked, “They say I’ve been absent.”
Apparently, I have been abducted. As such, when we reach the A cappella performance, this event has been organized to raise funds needed for my release from the captors.
According to PUNCH Online, the singer has recently been spotted around town, particularly in the presence of his new partner, Natasha Osawaru. They have attended several public events together ever since 2Face/2Baba was announced as missing.
Most recently, 2Face/2Baba and Natasha, who serves as the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and represents the Egor Constituency, were seen at the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.
