President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated the chancellor of Joseph Ayo Babalola University in Osun State, Professor Anthony Adegbulugbe, upon reaching his 70th birthday on Wednesday.
Adegbulugbe has been notably engaged in crafting energy policies and strategies for Nigeria, and significantly contributed to formulating the country’s Energy Master Plan.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, praised Adegbulugbe for his outstanding accomplishments and notable contributions to education, religious outreach, commerce, and charitable work.
The president likewise commended the honoree for their modesty and commitment to achieving greatness as well as advancing the nation’s progress.
Reflecting on their shared experiences, President Tinubu recalled that in October 2019, he shared the podium with Prof. Adegbulugbe when they received honorary doctorates at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti.
The President similarly recognized Adegbulugbe’s exceptional academic path, which began during his time as a student at Obafemi Awolowo University and continued through his studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
