Thaco’s CEO Steps Down After 7 Years at the Helm

Pham Van Tai has resigned from his position as CEO of the large enterprise Thaco Corporation following seven years in the role, with chairman Tran Ba Duong now taking over the post simultaneously.

“Tai successfully fulfilled his responsibilities and chose to resign voluntarily amid the company’s global restructuring and digital shift at the close of 2025,” the firm stated in a release.

Thaco operates in sectors such as automobile manufacturing, farming, and construction, along with other areas.

Nguyen Mot, head of culture and communications at Thaco, has also resigned.

Three new deputy chief executives—Nguyen Quang Bao, Tran Bao Son, and Nguyen Hoang Tue—are each concurrently serving as CEO of different companies: Thaco Auto, an automobile manufacturer; Thaco Agri, an agricultural enterprise; and Thadico, a construction company.

Earlier this year, Duong stated that the company would focus on “combining seasoned leadership with a youthful, energetic team to address the needs of digital transformation and the digital economy.”

Thaco plans
to recruit 26,400 individuals this year, raising its workforce to 77,100.

Thaco Agri will represent nearly 23,000 of the newly recruited employees.
