A leading supermarket has introduced a dedicated mum and kids section, enabling parents to bypass the regular checkout line.
This Mother’s Day, Morrisons will introduce ‘Mums Only Checkouts’ to make busy shoppers feel appreciated.
Altogether, the supermarket plans to have 497 checkout lanes available for just one day, but that’s not all.
To add an extra touch to the occasion, the store plans to distribute approximately 50,000 boxes of chocolates to mothers at the cash register on March 30. Additionally, employees will assist customers with packing their purchases.
It will also provide customer assistants available to keep the children entertained, ensuring that families have an effortless and pleasant experience.
The tasks will involve requesting participants to recognize various products and encouraging them to learn how to operate the cash registers.
Customers can look forward to earning rewards whenever they pick up gifts for their moms.
These rewards can be used for treats like chocolates and fudge, along with items from the Market Street Cakeshop, offering additional 50 points to More Card members.
Gareth Lloyd, who leads marketing events at Morrisons, commented: “In truth, numerous mothers often find themselves responsible for tasks such as the weekly shopping on Mother’s Day – despite it being intended as a special day just for them!”
‘Hence, we have introduced Mums’ Lanes in our stores to offer a small token of appreciation to all mothers who shop with us on their special day.’
