The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has urged Muslims to keep following the teachings they embraced during the sacred month of Ramadan.
During the Eidal Adha visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja, Wike, who was leading the FCT delegation, emphasized several points. He reminded Muslims that the sacred month of Ramadan instills qualities such as patience, sacrifice, self-restraint, and dedication to God Almighty. Furthermore, he highlighted how this period underscores the significance of empathy, kindness, and solidarity—values that characterize us as Nigerians.
Wike applauded the President and the Muslim community for successfully completing their fasts, prayers, sacrifices, and appeals to Almighty Allah.
He stated, “Your Excellency, allow me to express that this day is more than just a celebration; it is an occasion for deep contemplation about the true nature of Ramadan and the importance of Eid-al-Fitr.”
