Meet Molly Miller: The Mom Who Led Her Team to Its First NCAA Tournament After Switching from Marketing

At the young age of eight, after getting hooked on basketball, Miller enjoyed a fruitful high school and collegiate sports journey. She has now taken over from Natasha Adair to become the new head coach for the ASU Sun Devils.

Molly Miller, the basketball coach who led the Grand Canyon Antelopes women’s basketball team to their inaugural appearance in the NCAA tournament, has now been appointed as the head coach for the Arizona State University women’s basketball team, according to USA Today.

As the head coach of Grand Canyon University, Miller led her team to clinch the championship with a win over the UT Arlington Mavericks during the 2025 WAC Tournament. Her popularity surged after the game when she was seen doing snow angels in Gatorade on the locker room floor during a post-game celebration; afterward, her players lifted her up joyfully onto their shoulders.

Following five years with the Lopes, Miller is set to take charge of the Sun Devils. She steps into the role vacated by Natasha Adair, who was dismissed after the team recorded an unimpressive 29-62 mark over three seasons under her guidance.
